Join us on Monday (March 2, Texas Independence Day) @7 pm to discuss this message. At 8 pm we hold a second meeting for petitioners and independent candidates. Come to either or both. Go to: EVENTS
We hear tell that the energy industry captors are pouring cash into stopping Hawk Dunlap from getting into the Republican runoff for Railroad Commission, our so-called energy regulators. For years, we've seen zombie abandoned wells threatening land and water resources but little action from the other zombies. They don't keep calling it the Railroad Commission for nothing! Most voters do not know who to vote for in Railroad Commission races because they do not know it's supposed to regulate energy. That's why the Legislature has repeatedly failed to even change its name!
Do independent Texans have that swing? The proof is in the pudding of this Republican primary race to put Hawk Dunlap on the Raildoad Commission.
Texas has an open primary every two years. You can go in today or tomorrow -- February 26 and February 27, to vote early up to 7 pm -- or vote on Tuesday. You may request a Republican OR Democratic ballot. You have to choose and may not vote in both. This will, in no way, change your ability to vote for whomever you wish from any party or for independent candidates who may be on your ballot in the November general election.
Find your primary voting locations and more HERE. REPUBLICAN PRIMARY: We support Hawk Dunlap and Cody Harris (Palestine area State Rep) in the Republican Primary.
DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY: We support James Talarico for US Senate, Marcos Velez for Lt. Governor and Dr. Mary Elizabeth Klenz Texas House District 17 (Bastrop, Burleson, Caldwell, Lee and Milam counties). Visit this post for more details on our endorsements HERE.
